Day Four - Wednesday

This morning Grace Works led a beautiful hike to see some amazing views of Alaska! Afterwards we all came back and got ready to head to the park! Today the lesson was on how Jesus loves children and it was based off of Luke18:15-17. The kids were asked about what they think of when they think about love and many of them had great answers! Then they were taught how God is love and how much He loves each and every one of them.

Once again the kids came out and we had a great time together! More and more kids have been showing up as the days go on and we have had to up the number of the lunches we are taking with us! What an awesome problem to have!

Please continue to pray for the neighborhood that these kids are living in. And pray that they would have godly role models in their lives that they can look up to even when we leave. There have been so many cool stories that I can't even write them all, but just know that your prayers are making a difference and that God is working in their lives!

I really enjoyed hearing about your time of prayer and meeting some of the adults in the community the first day. You will come to love the kids more and more each new day. Impacting the parents can begin to change the culture of the family.

The block party at the end of the week is a great time of interaction and celebration. I am praying especially for that time for you. I can still remember the song " God of the City" during the block party. May He continue to bless Anchorage though you all. I Chron. 7:14
