In the Know
Have you ever felt out of the loop? I have and to be frank (by the way that is my middle name) I don't like it. So here is my attempt to keep you "in the know" and avoid you being "out of the loop" when it comes to our Community Group Ministry. Here is a laundry list of a dozen things you need to know.
1.) The Pastors and Elders value you greatly!
2.) Groups Promotion and Sign Ups begin August 25 and go for three weeks. We will promote in the café through our Groups@Grace Marketplace, our website and through you inviting people you know to join a group this fall.
3.) If you want your group to be listed in the Community Group Directory, please complete this online form by Tuesday, August 20.
4.) We have a strategy for the fall - (click here)
5.) We have a kick-off date for new groups and for new members to join existing groups - Week of September 15
6.) We have a new ministry role description for Community Group Leaders - we now call this role Community Group Facilitator (click here)
7.) We have a coach system - you will hear more about this in September
8.) We have a ½ day training event that will be led by GFC Elders - Saturday, October 19 (childcare will be provided)
9.) We have a great teaching series that we want all Community Groups to use - The Ultimate Journey which begins September 22 and runs through October 27. We will provide a weekly facilitator's guide for you to use in your group whether you meet weekly or bi-weekly.
10.) We have a great vision for our Community Groups that centers around the Ultimate Journey which we will unpack for you this fall.
11.) We want you to be fully available to all that God wants to do in your life and in your group this fall.
12.) I have never been more excited about Community Group ministry at GFC!!
