Kirah Elliott, 16 year old junior at University High and member of Grace Students, was in a serious car accident on December 10th, 2012. Kirah has a traumatic brain injury and is presently in the PICU at the Children’s hospital in Johnson City. There have been multiple surgeries for Kirah and countless sleepless nights for her family. The Elliott’s continue to lean upon their source of strength, the Lord Jesus. They desire your fervent prayers for Kirah. The road ahead has many unknowns and difficulties, however, we know that Christ will be with them each step of the way.
Among the needs for Kirah, the greatest need is prayer. To follow her progress you can visit the Caring Bridge site.
Kirah was a runner! Running was her passion. In her school’s division this school year, she finished 35th at the state cross country meet which was about a month before her accident. On May the 5that 3pm there will be a 5K-4Kirah on the campus of ETSU. You can find a registration form online. There will be same day registration if you miss the mail in deadline. The 5K falls on the day after Kirah’s 17th birthday. We want the day of the 5K to be a day of celebrating Kirah! We want to join in prayer for her before the race begins and share “birthday cupcakes” after the race. We ask for all who love Kirah and her family to join us!
