Monday Memo - January 19
God is fixin' to fix you.
But if you try to fix the fix that He has fixed for you,
He will create another fix to fix you with,
Until you let the fix He has fixed for you fix you!
These memorable lines from yesterday's message may feel like "bad news," but in reality they are freeing and full of hope. Instead of despising our problems or trying to "understand" them, we can let God change us through them. Truth is, in the end, it is the best of all worlds! See James 1:3-5! Hey, I want let you in on something exciting and strategic that will be COMING TO GFC SOON! For over three years, we have been planning how to make our lobby space more functional and to better serve people in regard to the Ultimate Journey - being changed by Christ and used by Christ. Construction should begin in the next few weeks and be completed some time in March.
There will be three features to the project. First, THE SOURCE, a new resource center in the space currently occupied by the library. (click for photo) Just next door, in the current Connecting Point space, will be THE HUB. (click for photo) This is a one stop spot for people to learn more about GFC, our ministries, and how to access them. Such a space does not currently exist. Then there is GRACE@HOME, just across the hallway from The Hub. Helping, encouraging, and providing resources for families of all kinds and stages; this unique place will help grace happen at home! The financing of this project is not coming through our general fund, but rather through people who have a vision for what this can accomplish for years to come.
Thanks to all who are making this become a reality!
I am continually humbled by the opportunity to be a part this community!
Grace and peace,
