Monday Memo - February 23

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us EVERYTHING pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

For by these He as granted to us His PRECIOUS and MAGNIFICENT promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world by lust.

2 Peter 1:2-4

Precious and magnificent! I love it! His promises by which we are changed! While our apprehension of the promises and our response to the promises matter, the experience of the divine nature is directly related to His promises, not our performance.

The life of David has reminded us that we are not left only with our humanness, but with God who knows exactly what we need for dealing with both life and godliness. Our series on David continues this Sunday and if you missed last Sunday, click here.

I was at GFC last night for a meeting. Not unusual. Each Monday night there is so much happening here that encourages me. For example, 25 couples are meeting for re|engage... a time to renew and repair marriages! Nine couples are meeting to Merge! Are they ready to get married? How can they prepare? And every Monday night about 50 people are in re:generation... seeking help and healing for hurts, habits, and hang-ups. These are new things God is doing among us. I am thankful for leaders like Lawton Jones and Rich Reisz whom He is using so effectively.

Operation Cooperation is underway as we seek to fund our local outreach ministries for this next year! If you were not present for the offering Sunday and want to give, please click here.

P.S. Grace Membership weekend is March 21-22. New or old, find out what it looks like to take the ultimate journey TOGETHER! Click here for more info or to register.

Grace and peace,

Tom Oyler
