Monday Memo - March 9
You may have heard of OPERATION COOPERATION. It is all about funding and serving our local community for the next year. Our goal was $50,000. As of now, the total given and committed is $82,000! When I announced this yesterday, a well of gratitude and celebration erupted from the congregation! It is better to give than to receive. And that is our goal in our outreach. Not merely to give to others, but to be with them in ways that help them experience the joy of giving as well. So thank you... for giving. If you haven't yet given, you can still do so online. More will only enable us to go further than we can now.
Yesterday, our title was 50 SHADES OF SHAME. The story of David and Bathsheba. Yes. It happened. It still does. I hope you will listen to this message and take it to heart. (click here to watch/listen) This week the story continues as David comes to terms with his sin, and with God's forgiveness.
You may have also missed the presentation of Glenn Rannick as an elder candidate. The elders are seeking your confirmation of Glenn over the next two weeks. You can read his story here and provide any feedback you may have.
Finally, let's TAKE THE JOURNEY TOGETHER! That is what Grace Membership is all about. The weekend of March 21-22, join me for a journey that will introduce you to GFC in ways that will encourage you and allow you to get to know others who will be on the journey with you. It is fun, significant, and can make a huge difference in your life going forward. Click here for more info and to sign up.
I am so grateful to be on the Ultimate Journey with you.
Grace and peace,
