Monday Memo - August 18
I can see that life is going to require relationships. Those are the words of a cave man in a cartoon. This bedraggled little guy comes out of his cave, blinking his eyes and dragging his club behind him. He is then confronted by a huge dinosaur who is looking him right in the eye. It is then that he quips,
I can see that life is going to require relationships.
Have you had that insight yet? That is huge - but even more so is the question, "How will I relate to others?" Most would agree that the quality of our lives is largely determined by how well we relate to other people. As we realized last Sunday, it is no tame project!
The principles laid out in 1 Corinthians 13 make it very clear that love is one thing that changes everything - especially me and you! I hope you will be with us for the next four weeks as we continue our series called INDISPENSABLE.
At GFC, we have long believed in becoming relationally healthy. From day one, small groups have played a key role in helping us live and learn what that means in the context of a biblical community.
This year we are launching some new group experiences to aid this relational dynamic called love. re|engage is an experience for married couples at any stage or situation. Check out this blog article from someone who went through re|engage this past year. There is also re:generation, which helps us address the hurts, hang-ups, and habits that limit our ability to love. Community Groups and groups for men and women are ongoing. Check out all these opportunities online and in the Groups@Grace Marketplace in the cafe this Sunday.
Life really does require relationships. What are you waiting for?
Grace and peace,
