The Pulse - June 7
Let's again recall to mind the words of Jesus to one of His churches in Asia Minor found in Revelation 3.
(3:15-16) You are neither hot nor cold... you are lukewarm..., (3:17) you say,"I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked... (3:20) Behold I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with Him, and he with Me.
These words are haunting me.
How does Jesus feel about my current spiritual condition? I dare you to read all of verse 16.
How much do I want to know the truth?
What is my vision of what "could be" in my relationship to Him?
Could I ask that you consider talking with some other believers about this profound communication?
We kick off our new series this Sunday and Monday... FAKE NEWS: The Lies We Believe. You won't believe it!
Grace and peace,
P.S. - I regret to inform you that Benjamin Kisoni's application for asylum from the Republic of the Congo has been appealed by a government attorney. This will delay a final decision for up to a year and possibly longer. This is a great disappointment and I know Benjamin can count on our prayers and support. GFC has being paying his legal fees for some time now. His lawyer anticipates the cost this year will be about $4,000. If you would like to contribute, you can designate your gift to "Benevolence - Benjamin."
