ALIVE is Finally Here!
To say that we are excited to start another ministry year as a Student Ministry would be an understatement! Josh and I have both been looking forward to getting things started with the new school year for quite a while and for several reasons.
First of all, we absolutely love our students here at GFC! We are honored and humbled to be in a position to love on and minister to our students, the volunteers who serve alongside of us (the best volunteers in the world!), and the parents and families of these teenagers. What an amazing opportunity and responsibility we have!
Second, as we launch this ministry year our plan is to offer weekly programming on Sunday mornings year round. That’s right! We want to take advantage of those summer Sundays to continue building relationships and building the faith of our students.
Finally, we are implementing distinct Middle School and High School worship services during the 11am worship hour starting this Sunday, August 11. We strongly believe this will give us an incredible opportunity to more effectively minister to students that are in 7th and 8th grade versus students who are in 9th-12th grade.
ALIVE, our worship service for High School students, is a highly energetic and engaging worship experience designed for and by students in 9th-12th grades. Students will participate in great worship led by our students' worship band, have fun interacting with games and activities, hear biblical teaching, and encounter God and His Gospel every Sunday.
We are starting the year with a self-titled series, ALIVE. This series will set the tone for our year and lay foundations for the 3 key relationships every student must address: their relationship with God, themselves and others.
- August 11th – Living God
- August 18th – Alive in Christ
- August 25th – Dying World
Help us start the year off with a bang by encouraging any and every High School student you know to join us this Sunday, August 11 at 11am in the East Auditorium for ALIVE!
