New Life in Christ
2 Corinthians 5:16-21

It’s a bit of a paradox, isn’t it? Knowing that the lives we live on this earth and the bodies we have will physically die, but the new life we have in Christ is propelling us towards eternity. We live in the tension of physical death because of sin but new life that will never cease because of Christ. So what should we do about it? Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 6:1-2.

Thinking It Through

As God’s partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of Gods’ kindness and then ignore it. For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.
~2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NLT)

God, if I were you, I wouldn’t have chosen me. But you do. You already have. And it changes everything.

The gospel is absurd and the life of Jesus is meaningless unless we believe that He lived, died, and rose again with but one purpose in mind: to make brand-new creation.
~Brennan Manning

The spirit-filled life is not a special, deluxe edition of Christianity. It is part and parcel of the total plan of God for His people.
~A. W. Tozer

The highest form of worship is the worship of unselfish Christian service. The greatest form of praise is the sound of consecrated feet seeking out the lost and helpless.
~Billy Graham

Stalled? Get Moving Again
Fear (of people)
Proverbs 29:25

We are not what we think we are, we are not what others think we are, we are what we think others think we are. Think about that! Certainly we are influenced by others, and we should have respect for and patience with all men, when we allow others to define who we are, put too much pressure upon our thoughts, feelings and actions, we have fallen into a snare. We are stalled because of the fear of people!

Looking It Up
