The Advent Season is all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ’s birth in the world as it is today. The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming,” which is a translation of the Greek word parousia. The Advent season invites us to step away from what can be a frenzied season to commemorate the birth of Jesus.

Prepare your heart for Christmas with this weekly Advent Bible Reading Plan. It starts with Creation and leads us through to God’s fulfilled promise of Christ’s birth.
