Hospitality

This team helps to create a warm, welcoming environment as they offer a friendly smile, a helping hand, and information that allows guests to better experience the love of Christ. No prior experience or training is required for any of the positions listed below.

provides coffee with a smile and engages in conversation that shares the warmth of Christ’s love to all who visit the Café

assists others in finding resources for their ultimate journey by serving in the bookstore once a month.

opens the Auditorium doors, offers warm hello, and passes out bulletins for all that are attending GFC, helping people feel God’s love as they come for worship

helps facilitate a great experience for everyone as they enter the auditorium so that they can engage worship comfortably and free from distractions

helps guest by making a great first impression, answering questions, and directing guests to resources and areas within the facility

helps to distribute the communion elements during service (bread and juice) to our church body once every 5-6 weeks

Kids Min

By serving in the children’s ministry (birth through 4th grade), you will help create engaging atmospheres where kids can take their next steps toward Christ. A background check is required.

connects relationally with 8-10 children to speak truth into their lives and celebrate spiritual growth

makes the best first impression by greeting new families and guiding them through the registration and check-in process to make them feel welcomed and informed

provides a safe, caring environment where children with special needs learn about God’s love for them

facilitates the large group kids worship experience

leads kids with energy and enthusiasm to worship God for who He is and what He’s done

communicates the Bible story and bottom line in such a way that it becomes unforgettable to a child

helps operate video and graphics in the large group setting to help create an engaging and relevant environment for kids (no experience required)

Students

Grace Students hosts two separate weekly meetings. Midweek is for grades 7 & 8 and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm in the Upstairs Auditorium. Sunday Night is for grades 9-12 and meets Sundays from 6:30-8:30pm in The Student Center. Please note that a background check is required.

leads or co-leads a gender/grade specific Community Group on either Wednesday nights (middle school) or Sunday nights (high school) by building and sustaining relationships with students with the goal of life transformation through God’s Word.

for students who have a desire to lead their peers with energy and enthusiasm in worshipping our one, true, living God!

helps operate video and graphics in the large group setting to help create an engaging and relevant environment for students (no experience required)

Vertical

Vertical (5th and 6th graders) is a time of engaging worship, Biblical teaching, and small group discussion. A background check is required. Help transform lives in these ways:

communicates Biblical truths in a relevant way to middle school students

facilitates the large group kids worship experience

develops a relationship with and fosters relationships with students in a small group setting

leads with energy and enthusiasm to worship God for who He is and what He’s done

Women

Grace Women seeks to cultivate women who live missional lives for Christ. You can help women experience Christ and live with passion — leading by example!

facilitates a group study for women on-site or in a home to encourage growth in God’s Word, personal life change, and connection for Grace Women

initiates discussion with guided questions for a small group or during a Grace Women Event

serves on a team, as needed, in order to help with greeting, registration, decorating, food preparation and serving, promotion, set up and tear down, and other miscellaneous responsibilities

Worship Arts

Worship Arts creates engaging environments in which our congregation can worship together and learn about God’s word.

assists the worship leader in skillfully leading others into a time of worship through song (requires an audition)

assists the worship leader by both singing and facilitating an atmosphere conducive to congregational worship (requires an audition)

the candles in the auditorium are an important part of the worship service as a visual representation of God’s work in our lives. Volunteers help with set-up and maintenance of the display

baptism volunteers assist with the backstage logistics of the baptism services, which happen about 4 times a year

serves in a variety of ways, including: running lyrics, helping as a stagehand, running sound, running lighting cues, and occasionally helping with special concerts and events in the facility (no experience required)

Care

Care Ministry is committed to caring for individuals and showing them the love of Christ in different ways. By leading care groups, meeting immediate needs, and being present with people during difficult and trying times, you can help hurting people experience healing, recovery, and growth in Christ.

cares for people before and after services on Sunday morning and Monday night

Team members arrive about 15 minutes before the service and are available for about 15 minutes after the service to engage people who may need to talk or pray about what may be going on in their lives. This team gets together once a quarter to sharpen their skills and share stories that are encouraging.

helps comfort and encourage those in the hospital, recently released from the hospital, or in a long care situation

You can expect to visit 1 – 3 times per month at approximately 15 to 30 minutes per visit.

helps care for GFC families by preparing and/or delivering meals to those experiencing difficult times

We engage when a family experiences a death, surgery or injury, or any other disruption of life that may make it challenging to prepare meals for their families. This may happen 3-4 times per year.

disciples and mentors a re:generation participant

Each person who goes through re:generation is encouraged to have a mentor walk through the process with them. The time commitment will vary with each participant; however, we suggest at least 1 hour per week. The program runs for about 1 year. Training is available the first Monday of each month during the normal re:generation time (6:30pm to 8:30pm).

Support Admin

This team does a lot of essential behind the scenes work to make ministry possible at GFC. By answering the phone, scheduling rooms, keeping the grounds looking nice, and so much more, you can help with day-to-day ministry.

helps with office administration tasks such as stuffing envelopes, answering phones, etc.

assists with facility maintenance, such as stacking chairs, cleaning rooms, etc.

assists with ground upkeep around the building

Communications

Communications helps provide clear, authentic, and compelling messaging in order engage people within and outside of our church.

documents events throughout the year in a photo-journalistic style and participates in stylized sessions on an as-needed basis (experience required; a portfolio of your work will be reviewed)

collaborates with the Communications Coordinator to design assets for a variety of projects such as ministry events, print materials, email marketing, and other initiatives (experience required; a portfolio of your work will be reviewed)

discovers and shares GFC stories through compelling, shareable written content; work may include covering events, conducting interviews, and other creative ways of capturing stories (experience preferred; samples of prior work will be reviewed)
