FAQs About Your First Visit

What are GFC’s beliefs, values, and mission?

You can learn all about GFC’s mission, vision, beliefs, history, leadership structure, and more at gfcnow.com/about

How will the experience be?

The service experiences at GFC include worship music and a message. Our Worship Pastor, Stephen Mann, leads worship with a live band. The message addresses real issues that people face every day. You can expect to be both encouraged and challenged by the teaching. Each Sunday service lasts for about an hour and 10 minutes. You will find a friendly environment where everyone is welcome, nobody is perfect, and anything can happen!

Where do I park?

There is parking all around the building; however, if you are a first-time guest, you will find reserved spots near the front entrance (South Greenwood entrance).

How early should I get there?

You should plan on arriving 15 minutes before the service starts. This will give you time to park, check your kids into their classroom if applicable, grab a cup of coffee, and find a seat before the service begins.

What should I wear?

You can dress casually or formally, as you prefer. Some people may wear shorts, ties, and everything in between!

What about my kids?

Grace Kids is designed for children from birth through fifth grade. Your child experiences age-appropriate teaching, music, and fun activities to introduce them to a life-changing journey to follow Jesus Christ. Our Kids Ministry is led by staff and volunteers who will be there consistently to care for and love your child. By the way, we utilize a check-in system that ensures a safe environment for your child and allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents.

I’m a nursing mother – is there a place for me?

Yes! A mother’s/nursing room is available at the right entrance of the main auditorium. It has a fully stocked changing table, rockers, and privacy blinds, and the service is live-streamed inside.

When do Students meet?

Students in the 6th-12th grade meet on Sundays and have events, retreats, and mission trips throughout the year. Learn more at gfcnow.com/students

Is there security?

To ensure that GFC’s facility is a safe place to worship and a safe place for kids, we have professional security personnel and security protocols in place for all onsite services.

Is there coffee?

YES! Grab coffee with all the cafe’s fixings or bottled drinks and bakery items! You can be comfortable in the seating areas in the cafe or around the lobby before the service.

If I decide to make GFC my church home – what’s next?

1. Whether you’re new to the faith or began following Jesus many years ago, there’s the next step to take in your own story. A significant first step at GFC is attending Introducing Grace. At Introducing Grace, you can meet a pastor and learn more about GFC in less than 10 minutes after each service.
When: Every Sunday after the 9:15 and 11 am worship service.
Where: Introducing Grace room in the GFC lobby, just outside the auditorium, across from the cafe.’

2. Next Steps is a gathering that better explains God, our church, and how you can grow in your faith. Explore how to become part of what God is doing through GFC in Next Steps, a gathering led by a GFC pastor that will dive deeper into the unique qualities of GFC and allow you to partner with GFC through membership. Childcare is available. Learn more at gfcnow.com/steps

3. Join a Group – As the saying goes, connection and growth happen best in circles, not rows. Groups are a great way to meet people, develop relationships, grow spiritually, and make a larger church seem small. Learn more at gfcnow.com/groups
