The Other Side of a Monthly Give

Agape’s mission is to walk with women through unplanned pregnancies. God has allowed GFC to come along side of us to help us maintain our facility and purchase medical supplies needed to serve our clients. We are able to serve and love women well, only by the grace of God and the help of partners like GFC.

When we think about this past year, it is very easy to see the goodness of God through GFC to Agape. Not only has your church family walked with us financially, but also through hands-on projects. GFC approached us last year and wanted to plan a day that members of the church could serve at Agape through ECHO. After several discussions, we decided to improve the overall appearance of our waiting room, front desk area, counseling rooms, bathroom, and office. God used 10 volunteers from the GFC body to completely transform our front space, allowing each client to feel loved and prepared from the moment they walk in the door. This improvement helps us serve each client with the level of excellence we desire. Shift leaders for this day were Shelley Rose and Sandy Serra. The leaders and their team members came with energy and excitement to complete each task. What a joy it was to meet and make new friends from GFC! We will always remember the ECHO day for the love and labor given freely.

In June of this past year, GFC hosted a Monthly Give collecting diapers for Agape. The delivery of diapers came on the same day that we ran out of size 3! When Adult Ministry Assistant, Katelyn Jorjorian, arrived at Agape, she said that she had several packages of diapers for us, and several were size 3. We had to laugh, because God knew we were completely out of that exact size. God is in the details and we are thankful for your church family allowing Him to work through them – even if it is through size 3 diapers! This may seem like a small detail but it is very important to our clients who need them.

Another area where your church has served our clients is through an invitation to your Gracemother’s tea for expecting mothers. We are thrilled to have a church that is open to helping Agape transition clients into a church body. We can gratefully say that in the last year, three moms attended the tea and now call GFC their home church! God is doing great things at GFC and we are so very thankful to be a partner.

This verse comes to mind when I reflect back on my interactions with Grace Fellowship members:

“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.”  Colossians 3:23-24

Agape Women’s Services was able to experience a visual picture of God’s love through the body of Grace Fellowship Church. We were able to see the body of Christ serving to please the Lord in all areas. We are grateful and thankful for your support -- Agape could not do what we do without YOU!
