Our hearts ache as we reflect on the widespread devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and the subsequent floods over the past weekend. The harrowing images and videos of the impacted infrastructure, communities, and families are etched in our minds. Countless homes, businesses, and lives have been lost, and the magnitude of this loss is beyond comprehension.

But please know, Appalachia is resilient. We will rise from this tragedy. We will come together to rebuild and restore our sense of purpose and community.
