Since day one, our mission has been to Glorify God by joining Him in building a community to reach a community.
We strive to accomplish that mission through our vision of Broken and vulnerable people experiencing life in Christ.
We believe in…
The only true God, the almighty Creator of all things1
existing eternally in three persons Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The unique divine inspiration2
entire trustworthiness and authority of the Bible.
The dignity and brokenness of all people3
created in God’s image to live in love and holiness,
but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt,
and justly subject to God’s wrath.
Jesus Christ, fully human and fully divine4
who lived a perfect life,
who took upon Himself the judgment due sinners on the cross,
who was bodily raised from the dead,
and ascended as Savior and Lord.
Eternal life5
which is a free gift given immediately and permanently
to all who, wholly apart from any works,
put their faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The Holy Spirit6
who indwells each believer at the moment of faith
in order to glorify Christ by changing and using us
for the building up of the church.
The church7
which includes all true believers in Christ,
is organized locally,
and overseen by elders.
The future8
anticipating the coming of Christ for His church at any moment,
followed by the examination of believers for the purpose of rewards,
the physical return of Christ to establish His kingdom on earth,
the final judgment of unbelievers,
and the creation of a new heaven and new earth
all to the eternal glory of God.

Values
We value…
While many things matter deeply at GFC (including our core doctrinal convictions, which are outlined elsewhere), when it comes to the kind of church we aspire to be, two core values rise above the rest.
Embracing Brokenness
There are two inseparable dimensions to this.
- Embracing our own brokenness – Not merely acknowledging that we are broken but seeking to struggle well: facing our reality with honesty, integrity, and trust in God’s character and promises.
- Embracing the brokenness of others – We are a church for broken people. That’s who we are! And we seek to embody the broad, grace-filled invitation of Jesus to all who desire to experience life in Him.
Centered on Christ
We want to introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them move closer to Him. That is our aim, in dependence on God’s Spirit, and we refuse to let any lesser pursuit (like moral reformation or fighting culture wars) eclipse this priority or become a barrier for belonging at GFC. This commitment shapes both our posture toward those outside the church and our vision for transformation within it. We want to simultaneously be safe for sinners and serious about growth.

These core values shape the way we approach ministry, guide our decision-making, and anchor our unity as we seek to serve Jesus in this unique, local expression of His body.
