Meet Kelly Holland – New GFC Staff Member

GFC has recently hired Kelly Holland as the part-time Worship Arts & Hospitality Coordinator. We’ve asked her to introduce herself so that we can get to know her a little better!

Hey everyone, my name is Kelly Holland and I am thrilled to be back serving on staff at Grace after moving back to the area last summer!
I am wife to Ben and mama to Rose (6) and Tim (5).
God has pursued my heart through Grace Fellowship Church for a long time. My entire lifetime, really! My parents began attending here before I was born and have called GFC home ever since. I crawled around on the nursery floors in the Children’s Ministry (way back when we were on Virginia Street!), sang in the Music Makers choir, and fell in love with Jesus while at church camp with the youth group.
In high school, I developed a love for individuals with special needs after nannying for the Huddlestons, a fellow GFC family with two boys with Down syndrome. (I always tell my husband that Thomas and Stewart were the first loves of my life!) I got to see firsthand the challenges that come with raising a child with special needs. It can alter the typical family life most imagine: education, health concerns, therapies, and even church. GFC’s Access ministry was born from a desire to welcome individuals with special needs as a vibrant and vital part of the body of Christ.
After college at ETSU, I served on staff at GFC serving in both Access and Grace Kids for five years.
After a wonderful hiatus of being home with my babies, I am so excited to be back in a new role at Grace. I will be serving the Worship Arts team administratively as well as overseeing Hospitality on Sunday mornings as we seek to welcome and engage newcomers, as well as serve out our vision of helping broken and vulnerable people find life in Christ.
Come say hey to me at the New Here table!
