Local Outreach

There are several opportunities throughout the year to serve our community through GFC’s local partners, GFC outreach events, and helping feed and serve local homeless communities.

Our Local Ministry Partners are linked below. You can contact them directly, let them know you attend GFC, and they will get you connected:

Join us in helping those who are homeless or hungry by providing bagged lunches.

Good Samaritan is asking that each volunteer assemble 10 bags with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a bag of chips, apple, granola bar, and a bottle of water. No servers are needed.

Where: Bags can be dropped off at front of the Good Samaritan building. There are several parking spaces you can pull into, and someone will help you unload.

Mountain View

Our partnerships with Mountain View Elementary School serve one of the most economically and educationally challenged areas of our city. These serving opportunities build into the lives of students, teachers, and families in our community.

Join the Backpack Food Team:This team packs bags of food for select children to help provide for their weekend food needs. (Monthly on Wednesday mornings during the school year)

Join the School Support Team: This team offers encouragement for school staff through classroom help, lunches, and other tangible expressions of care and/or leads student activities.

Become a Lunch Buddy: A lunch buddy joins a student at their lunch weekly through the school year. 20 minutes a week can build a relationship that profoundly encourages a child! Lunch times vary per class.(September-May)

Global Outreach

Global Media Outreach (GMO) is a ministry using technology to reach hundreds of thousands for Christ each month. GMO’s vision is for everyone on earth to have multiple opportunities to know Jesus. They desire to see millions trust Him, grow in faith, and connect them to the Christian community.

GFC’s partnership with Compassion International enables us to pursue a significant role in “releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name.”

Over 400 children are sponsored by GFC families through Compassion. Over 120 children are from Dios es Amor, our partner church outside Lima, Peru.  GFC typically sends a team on a Compassion trip each year, offering sponsors in that country a chance to meet their sponsored child.
