Mountain View

Our partnerships with Mountain View Elementary School serve one of the most economically and educationally challenged areas of our city. These serving opportunities build into the lives of students, teachers, and families in our community.

This team packs bags of food that go to select children at the school to help provide for their weekend food needs.

  • When: the team packs food on weekdays, monthly during the school year

This team provides encouragement for school staff through a monthly lunch and other tangible expressions of care.

  • When: periodically throughout the school year

Lunch Buddies: A lunch buddy joins a student at their lunch weekly through the school year. 20 minutes a week can build a relationship that deeply encourages that child!

  • When: Lunch times vary per class and last about 20 minutes (September-May)

Local Outreach

There are several opportunities throughout the year to serve our community through GFC’s local partners, GFC outreach events, and helping feed and serve local homeless communities.

Our Local Ministry Partners are linked below. You can contact them directly, let them know you attend GFC, and they will get you connected:

Join us in helping those who are homeless or hungry by providing bagged lunches.

Good Samaritan is asking that each volunteer assemble 10 bags with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a bag of chips, apple, granola bar, and a bottle of water. No servers are needed.

Where: Bags can be dropped off at front of the Good Samaritan building. There are several parking spaces you can pull into, and someone will help you unload.
