Dear GFC Community,

Abraham Lincoln once said, “I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go. My own wisdom and that of those about me seemed insufficient for the day.”

Similarly, I feel convinced that our own wisdom as a church is insufficient for the day that is upon us. We need God to give us not only wisdom; but peace, joy, courage, and strength to be faithful with the vision that He has called us to…

For this vision to become a reality, God will have to do a great work in us and through us. Join me in expressing our dependence on God by coming together for Prayer Night on August 15 from 6:30-7:30 pm. No sign up necessary (unless you need childcare, then let us know here).  Just come.

And if you feel intimidated at the thought of praying for an hour, don’t be! We’ll be guiding the time and letting you know what to expect every step of the way. We’ll also be giving freedom for people to pray in a way that feels comfortable to them.

This event is for the whole church! So no matter your age or stage, you are invited.

Look forward to praying together with you,

Matt
