February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day!

Have you ever experienced a random act of kindness? It could have been as simple as a stranger paying for your coffee or offering you their seat on a crowded bus. That simple moment can make your entire day and lift your spirits.

So if we know how kindness can affect people, why don’t we intentionally try to show kindness toward everyone we meet?

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32)

Kindness is an extension of God’s love. Showing kindness to others, especially nonbelievers, can help them experience God the same way we do. If we reach out to everyone, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can show them kindness in a way they may have never experienced before.

Kindness is something we give freely to everyone regardless of whether they deserve our kindness or not. We did not deserve kindness, but God showed us kindness anyways when He sent His Son to die for us.
