On January 18th our life changed when my wife Young Shil went in for a routine procedure and came out with a cancer diagnosis. She had surgery on January 30th and is currently undergoing chemo for the next 6 months. Her long-term prognosis is good, but it’s a tough road.
During this difficult time when it seems like we should be angry, sad, or discouraged, we have never felt more blessed! God has been and will be with us through this storm. We are blessed to have great medical care and facilities in our community. We are blessed to have health insurance and the means to get the care she needs. We have been blessed with love, support, and prayers from so many friends and family including our church family at GFC. The outpouring of support has been overwhelming.
We have been giving God the credit every step of the way, and our hope is that others will see God through our story.
