This past Saturday, GFC echoed God’s love into our community through serving at our local schools. Thank you for helping reach our community!
I heard about one particular GFCer who served at Fairmont Elementary, the same school he attended as a child over 40 years ago. During the day, he ran into the principal at Fairmont and was able to share how two of his elementary school teachers had a significant impact on him far beyond his grade school years, influencing his life into college and even medical school… What a legacy teachers can have!
God is always inviting us to join Him in what He’s doing – not just through an event like ECHO, but in our everyday lives. May we be intentional with our everyday influence, just like those teachers.
Speaking of invitations, I want to invite YOU to a party. The next two Saturdays, July 31 and August 7, we’re throwing parties in some local Johnson City parks. We’ll be having food, music, games, inflatables for the kiddos, and more! Our goal is simply to provide an opportunity for us to come together. And not just GFCers, but those who are not connected with our church as well.
Find all the details at gfcnow.com/together. You will want to be part of this and invite your friends and neighbors to come along, too.
Hope to see you this Saturday!
Matt
P.S. This coming Sunday, we conclude our teaching series, It’s Complicated, exploring the book of Philemon and the messiness of relationships (if you missed this past Sunday’s message, you can watch it here). Would love for you to participate this Sunday, onsite or online at 9:15 or 11am. |
