The Pulse: The Right Information
October 16, 2024

“The problem with using quotes from the internet is verifying the authenticity of the source.”  Abraham Lincoln

We live in what’s been dubbed the information age. According to Statista, Bernard Marr & Co., approximately 402.74 million terabytes of data are created every day. If that doesn’t blow your mind (because who actually says ‘terabyte’ in daily conversation), consider this: in the past two years, more than 90% of the world’s data has been created!

The challenge for us modern people isn’t finding information; it’s discerning (and living by) the right information that corresponds with reality as God defines it. This past weekend, we dedicated time to letting the Biblical story shape our thinking about the suffering in our world today. If you missed it, click here to view the message: A Good God in a World of Suffering.

This coming Sunday, we jump back into the Gospel of Luke at a pivotal moment in the story! Jesus clarifies the right “information” about his identity and then seamlessly moves into unpacking what that means for those of us who aspire to follow Him. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, we need to both hear and understand the true, compelling, explosive words of Jesus to us in these verses. See you Sunday!

Matt
