Our Marriage was Strengthened

Last summer our family loaded up the car and headed off to Chimney Point, Pine Cove’s newest Family Camp, in Westminster South Carolina. This trip was planned last minute (we’re talking days) and came very unexpectedly. Our family was BEYOND excited and so the mad rush to get everything together was ON! As I got online to look up our packing list, I was curious to see who would be the teacher/speaker for the parents that week. When I saw that Dr. Tim Kimmel would be with us, I screamed with excitement. I had heard about him from several friends over the years and had just started to read one of his books.

Over the next 6 days, my husband Bryon and I laughed, cried, were challenged, and as a couple our marriage was strengthened. We loved how Dr. Kimmel intertwined personal stories of he and his wife’s ups and downs through marriage and what different seasons of marriage look like. Tim’s focus on a Grace-Filled Marriage was eye-opening. He showed us that when grace is woven throughout marriage we experience the grace of God in new and fresh ways. Not only was our relationship as a couple strengthened we also grew in our relationship with God.

We have learned through our 20 years of marriage that a great marriage doesn’t just happen – It takes work, being intentional, having fun, God’s word, and prayer. It also means setting aside time to learn and grow together from encouragers and teachers like Dr. Tim Kimmel. We are very excited to have the opportunity to be with him again February 8 & 9 at the Grace Filled Marriage Conference. I hope that you will come – your marriage is worth it!

The Grace Filled Marriage Conference is this Friday and Saturday, February 8th and 9th! There is still time to sign up. Visit gfcnow.com/gracemarriage
