See You on the Lawn!

Hopefully, by now you’ve been able to see the “Plan for Reopening” video that we posted last week (click here to see). As mentioned, the goal is to take wise steps, while prioritizing safety for our church and community. Looking forward to being together in group and physical gathering environments this summer (Zoom meetings are great, but not quite the same).

One thing you might have seen in that video is the plan for an outdoor gathering this Saturday at GFC. We’ll come together (in a socially distanced way) at 6pm for some worship, prayer, and encouragement – I can’t wait! If you haven’t yet, please let us know you’re coming here.

For those who cannot make it or don’t feel comfortable participating in something like this just yet, we’ll miss you. And I invite you to engage with us this Sunday at 10:30am online, as we keep exploring the ‘upside-down’ words of Jesus.

David says in Psalm 31:15, “My times are in your hand…”  I think about that statement for us, as a community of faith… our times are in God’s hand. He knows the season we’re in and where we’re headed. He knows what we need in these uncertain times.

And that confidence gives us the ability to be present, trusting Him to provide as we continue taking steps forward. That’s why David ends his Psalm this way (and it’s particularly relevant for us, today)… “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” (31:24)

See you on the lawn this Saturday,

Matt
