The Pulse: Serving Our Neighbors in Nashville

I’m grateful to be part of a church committed to helping broken and vulnerable people find life in Christ. The powerful storms and tornadoes that struck Middle Tennessee and the Nashville area this week remind us that we are all vulnerable to life’s tragedies. Joining together in prayer we can ask God to…

  • Comfort those who are grieving.
  • Heal those who are injured.
  • Give wisdom and endurance to recovery workers.
  • Provide grace and strength for devastated or disrupted lives.
Out of our desire to demonstrate love to vulnerable people and to provide hope to hurting people, we initiated a connection with Samaritan’s Purse to be part of their disaster relief efforts in the US. This summer, we plan to be part of rebuilding efforts in North Carolina where hurricane recovery continues. If you’re interested in being part of one of these teams, you can contact our volunteer team leader Michael Hatfield.
If you would like to be part of helping recovery efforts in Middle Tennessee, you could…
God doesn’t cause these disasters, but grieves for our world broken by the effects of moral and natural evil. In these moments, we can be an expression of God’s love and become an extension of hope for others.
