The Pulse: Stranger Things

GFC Community,
These are strange days. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 are steadily rising in our country and state with more testing available. More and more businesses are pressing pause. Spring break is over, and yet our school-age kids are still home.
How should we be responding as Christians? We keep trusting in God (Psalm 20:7, 62:8), mourn with those who mourn (Rom. 12:15), and seek to embody the compassionate presence of God to our neighbors and community (Mark 12:31).
The good news is… stranger things have happened to Jesus-followers before us. Christians in the 1st and 2nd century endured through Roman persecution, the Christian community in Europe through the black plague in the 1300-1400’s, and countless believers throughout history in all kinds of tribulation and difficulty.
If you missed our online gathering yesterday, you can watch the message here. Would love for you to join us this coming Sunday at 10:30am through gfcnow.com/live as we continue exploring what Jesus said about unity in our divided world. We also talked about a new initiative called Call Pray Help as a way we can bethe church right now. Click here to find out more and get involved.
Love being a part of this faith family with you, in these strange days….

Matt
