The Next Lead Pastor at GFC

The elders are pleased to announce that Matt Murphy will now serve as the Lead Pastor of GFC. (You can view the announcement at the bottom of this page.) Matt joined GFC’s staff in 2014. In his 4 years on staff, he has served in a variety of roles including Family Life Pastor, Teaching Pastor, and Executive Pastor. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and a Masters of Divinity from Western Seminary. Before joining GFC, he served in full time ministry as Conference and Camp Director for 8 years at Pine Cove Camps in Texas. Matt and his wife, Katie, are blessed with three kids – Lily (7), Asher (5), and Coen (4). He has a passion for teaching and discipleship and is excited for GFC to continue pursuing its mission of building a community to reach a community.

-The Lead Pastor Comissioning for Matt Murphy will be on Sunday August 12th at 9:15am and 11am.
-There will be special celebrations to honor Tom and Leslie Oyler in the Fall.
