For some of us, grabbing a coffee on the way into the church service feels like a necessity. We want that extra bump in energy to get us through the morning! Others may want a snack to hold us over, or maybe we just need an excuse to visit with friends in the cafe.

The cost of providing these extras before services is covered through donations to the cafe and now, your generosity at the cafe not only provides the coffee for a Sunday morning, but is adding up to reach those outside the church walls as well!

You may know that GFC has a number of outreach partners who are reaching our community and world for Christ. These trusted partners provide open doors of ministry, expertise in different areas, and share a commitment to share God’s love and His good news with our world.

Locally, they are serving the prisoner, the family in crisis, the under-resourced youth, the college student, the immigrant, and more. Globally, they are reaching the remote, the scripture-less, the unreached, the hungry, and beyond. We are glad to be partnering with them in reaching our world, near and far.

Beginning this summer, any above and beyond donations for the cafe will be given to outreach partners, in excess of their regular financial support from us. That means once the cost of the coffee and snacks is covered, any donation above that will be used to bless our outreach partners. Each quarter, we’ll highlight several partners – and these specific partners will benefit from the donations that quarter. You will be able to find information on the spotlighted partners in the cafe on any given Sunday.

So stop by the cafe, pick up a hot beverage, visit with a friend or introduce yourself to someone new – and remember that your coffee is making a difference!
