Many Christians, if they’re honest, struggle to pray regularly. We may believe in prayer and even desire to pray, but practically, it feels intimidating and we feel just plain bad at it. We’re not alone! The disciples, after seeing Jesus pray in Luke 11:1 say, “Teach us to pray!” They needed help to pray well, and we do too.
This past Sunday, we dove into the first part of Jesus’ response to the disciples (view the message here if you missed it). This coming Sunday, we’ll seek to learn from the second half of his response, and this teaching from Jesus is vital if we hope to have any kind of shot at persevering in prayer!
On Saturday, January 18, we are hosting an equipping event called Prayer School. The goal of this time is to provide guidance and practical resources to help you begin cultivating a deep, rich life of prayer with God. Find more details and register to attend here.
I really believe that what is going to make us people who experience deep transformation in Jesus is prayer. And what is going to make us people of prayer is not insight but practice. I’m looking forward to sharing more about this specific practice and seeing how we can grow together, by God’s grace, in this important area.
