The Pulse: Christmas for Broken People

One of the things I love about the Christmas season is the music! I love listening to carols and other classics that help set the tone for this time of year. The other day, as I was listening to my personal favorite, ‘O Holy Night,’ I was struck by this line in the second verse…

“He (Jesus) knows our need. Our weakness is no stranger…”

Christmas is a wonderful time of year. It is also simultaneously a difficult time of year for many folks who are apart from loved ones or feeling isolated. One of the powerful truths about the incarnation is that because Jesus came into our world, our trials and tribulations are not foreign to him (Hebrews 4:15). He knows our need and weakness. And more than that, he knows us in the midst of it.

At our Christmas Eve services, we’ll discover why Jesus’ arrival is such great news and how we can live with confidence and hope in our world today. You are invited to celebrate with us at any one of our three family-friendly candlelight services! (11am, 4pm, 6pm) Programming for Grace Kids Birth–PreK will be available at all services. We’ll have a special photo booth where you can grab a Christmas picture, and be sure to stop by our café to enjoy a cup of coffee or milk and cookies with family and friends. If you won’t be attending in person, please join us online! Go to gfcnow.com/christmas for more info.

Looking forward to celebrating that ‘Holy Night’ with you!

Matt
